A.A.M.P. – Adolescent Anger Management Program – Begins Monday Oct. 9, 2017

There are many possible causes for the development of irritable feelings in an adolescent. Anger might appear as anger directed outward, as in cases of aggression, or anger directed inward at oneself, as in cases of sadness. Our anger management group curriculum will assist your teen in developing the skills necessary to understand anger, to identify the core issues underlying their irritability, as well as learn how to change their cycle of anger expression. The group utilizes up-to-date, research-based strategies which are both educational and interactive. Topics addressed include: Conflict resolution, problem solving, coping skills, impulse control, communication and listening skills, relaxation/calming strategies, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. Activities are both educational and interactive. Resources are made available for caregivers throughout the program to help reinforce progress in the home. Call to check insurance benefits; Self-Pay=$90 total.
